Presentation and excerpt of Book II of the Commentaries on the Gallic War written by Julius Caesar (campaign against the Belgians) where appears the tribe of Remi at the origin of the present city of Reims before the Battle of the Aisne

We introduce here the life of St. Remigius (St. Remi) according to chapter 16 and 141 of the Golden Legend (also known as Legenda Aurea) written by Jacobus da Varagine as at origin of the history that instituted the ceremony of the Sacre (or ceremony of the Coronation)of the ancient French Kings in Cathedral Notre Dame of Reims.
